South San Francisco - Locals refer to South San Francisco as
the "South City". It is often mistaken as the southern
part of the city of San Francisco by people who do not know the
area. On the mountain side near San Bruno Mountain State
Park there you will see huge letters that read, "South San
Francisco the Industrial City." The letters are made up of
concrete, and unlike the Hollywood sign, they sit flush with the
hillside.
