East Palo Alto - East Palo Alto was founded in 149. The
original inhabitants were Ohlone/Costanoan Native Americans.
The Spanish and Caucasian settlers and speculators then took
over. It eventually become the largest African American
community on the Peninsula. Today the city is more
multi-ethnic with a large number of Pacific Islanders and
Hispanic populations.
