Concord - In 1869, Concord was originally founded under the
name Todos Santos on the initiative of Pacheco. This name
is still recognized by the central plaza and park located
between Willow Pass Road and Salvio Street. The relocation
of residents in the 19th century from Pacheco to Concord helped
bring the city to the forefront. Concord was incorporated in
1905. An abandoned naval station that consists of two
areas, Inland and Tidal, borders the city. The government
ordered its closer and ask that the site be returned to the
city. Todos Santos Plaza is the focal point of downtown which
takes up an entire city block. It is well known for its free
summer concerts, farmers market and restaurants.
